Larger Bar Stock Supply

Can anyone tell me who carries larger bar stock of high carbon steel? I'm going to be making some specific pattern canister damascus. I need larger stock to machine the shapes out of.

So something like Square 2" x 2" bar stock of 1095, 5160 or 52100. Or even 1/2" thick plate. Don't care really what the alloy is as long as it's good for knife making, cheaper is better, and I'm not loyal to one alloy or the other.

look for a automotive spring supplier (mine used to be "Oregon Spring")
they build re enforcement springs for work trucks and commercial vehicles .. usually out of thick 5160..
look first to see if you have such a shop local to you ,or nearby.. they might be willing to sell you remnant pieces to forge out yourself..

O-1 should be available in lots of sizes from most tool steel suppliers. “Tool steel services “ is one.
