CRK Brothers and Sisters,

I have developed a fondness for the larger jimping found on some of the older Sebs. It seems like you only run across these every so often. I was lucky enough to purchase a small Reg with this larger jimping from a friend in the Great White North. Up until this purchase I didn't even know it existed. So, if you own any Sebs with this style of jimping or have pics of any--please post them here for everyone to admire.

That style jimping was only found on 2004 models and only for part of the year.

I had two like that and will post pictures up if I can find my pictures backup dvd.

Thanks SA--much appreciated. Mine was born in March of 04'. I wonder why they did such a limited run of this style? It feels so nice and looks amazing as well.

Found a few pictures. :)

I didn't even know they did those in 04. Thanks for the pics.

I do like the looks of some jimping, but have never needed it. None of my Dozier hunting knives has it, nor did any of my knives used when I was a butcher, and owned a game processing business. Did alot of fast cutting/boning with a bloody knife, and never had my thumb slip.

I'm sure it's largely a preference thing and the appeal for some is likely aesthetic only. I enjoy the subtle differences on CRK's from a purely collector standpoint; although, I do prefer to have the jimping when in use.
