Largest collection of khukuries : any nice photos out there guys ?

I think Gehazi may win in that dept. But, there are others with some serious collections.

I started collecting about 18 months ago. Here is my collection, most of it anyways, I've had some additions since.:

It is unfortunately long gone, but John Powell used to have a massive and very impressive collection. You can search for pictures of it here and at the Himalayan Imports website.

several things have been bought , sold, and traded since this picture was taken, but that is roughly my thing

I know david has a large collection, pugs has a nice one if not a large one ( probably both) Ndog and bawanna definitely have good ones too, most of the regulars have pretty good collections.

I remember feeling some sadness that I saw john powell khuks up on oriental arms , I wanted to believe it could last forever !

He was writing the definitive book on the Khukuri knife when he was forced to stop by health issues. Among his collection were some of the most beautiful khukuries that we have ever seen. He is missed.

without doubt the john powell collection will be "the" collection for many years to come, nobody had more high quality khukuri or seemed to love the subject more.
 
Never forget Ndog, he's a playa. I think Pugs has a stash that we don't even know about too. Keeps pulling things out from time to time.

Lot of sharp pointy things around these parts.

That feeling ....when my wife goes mad over and over again .....sometimes I think she use it on me-for what is designed for:)

Like Bawanna says, "sleep with a grabage can on your head", it makes it harder for them to reach the important parts.
 
I'm not certain but she don't look happy to me. Looks very nice for what that's worth but not happy.

Definitely go with the garbage can, much safer.

She sent me straight to bed without my supper that night. I probably could have used that trash can on both ends. She coulda at least let me put them back in their sheaths:eek:

Yep! I think pugs has some hes hiding as well. Just when you think youve seen em all he comes up with some rare Bura or grail Khuk!
