Seen the smallest folding knife post (cool!) and got to wondering, who makes the largest folding knife.

Who makes the largest folding knife?

Forum member Sniperboy has a balisong that unfolds to six feet. I've got one that's about five feet.

I think that for a "normal" production folder, the honor might go to the Cold Steel Vaquero Grande. The blade is an honest 6 inches, with an overall length of 13 inches.

That was made by AB/SKM switchblade makers in Maniago, Italy. And it really fires.

posted the same time DaveJ did.
Guess it's real.
Really fires, dam! You would not want to be standing in front of that blade when it came out.

eh?:)

Thanks for reminding me.....my account hadn't been activated in a few years, so I had to update my email.

I can't tell you anything about his knives....just that they look sweet:). As I said, I just learned about them recently....yesterday I think:)

The largest folder I've ever seen was a cheap Pakistani 110 clone owned by a female Bosun's Mate what was on my ship a few years ago. That knife was huge, I'd guess nearly a foot long when open. I don't know which was more intimidating, the knife or her very butch demeanor.:)

I believe that Opinel makes a display knife with a blade around 11in or so..I haven't seen one in person, but I've seen the pics. SMKW had em for sale a few issues back.
Good luck,
Matt
