Mine has kinda gotten out of hand, hoping to see really large collections to make me feel better. I know pictures can be a hassle with so many. Pictures would be nice but just a description would be nice too.

Last I checked, I was over 400.

You win! 🤗

Unless, of course, someone claims they have more. I've only got about 150.

A tiny collection in comparison but I like to think that it's "well (juried or) selected."

LOL! ;)

PS: I've posted bits and pieces of my Spyderco collection here and there on BF, including the "Post Your Spyder Pics" thread stickied at the top of this Spyderco sub-forum, including the Mules, Police, Millies, Natives and others in my collection.

Pretty sure Paul (the Deacon) has that many or more, he's been at it longer than I have. Just adding up two of each Mule up to the last two and forty or so Police Models gets me to a hundred, then a dozen or so Militaries, half a dozen Paramilitaries and PM2s, some Endras and Delicas, 5 Dodos, a dozen varieties of Calypso...it adds up.

I knew you would be up there, thought you might be the biggest, still awesome though.

I had a guy write to me a couple of years ago with a list and a picture of his Delica's. I believe he said he had over 60 and wanted to know if he had them all. Susan actually found a couple he was missing. Eric met him at the Amsterdam meet a year or so later.

Thanks!

I knew that my collection of Spyders would NOT be the largest (by a long shot) and, even though there are more than 340 knives (of many different types and brands) in my entire collection, I'm sure that isn't the largest combined collection either.

But, as modest as it is, I'm happy with what I've collected so far, as I'm sure other collectors are happy with their selections, as well.

Otherwise, why bother collecting at all?

BTW, my collection does not contain any exact duplicates but does include variations of certain models that I am fond of, like the Military, Endura, Native, Mule, Police and ParaMilitary, among others. The same applies to other brands of knives that I collect.

FYI, I just took a look at the inventory of my collection, which currently stands at 148 Spyders of which exactly 100 are models that bear the same name but that include knives which vary in design, generation and/or blade type.

Is the Delica the model with the most variations?

If you are concerned that your collecting might be getting “out-of-hand”, you might want to check for other potential signs of “hoarding”.

I have deliberately set a limit on the number of knives that I can own at any given time to reduce the distress my collection causes.
