Here is a picture of a Larry Chew Slayer that I was fortunate enough to acquire from another forumite. I decided to experiment with the light box that I just put together using this knife.

Tell me what you think??

That is a beautiful photo of an extraordinary knife!

I would say that you light box is working very well. I also have a Slayer, but mine is nowhere near as nice as yours.

Really smooth.

It is one of the few flippers that you really don't have to flip very hard to open the knife. Just a little push and a gentle flick of the wrist and .....

Hats off to Larry Chew for such a nicely made knife.
 
this is kinda off topic but the chinese character thats on the clip is that suppose to be larry's sign? As in his name? Cause that character corresponds to the last name yee or yu which is btw my last name. But larry's last name is chew so that doesn't make sense?

Bob, I think you are on the right track with a lightbox. Good work.

Though, if I told you I really liked that picture, I would be lying. The background color is very uncomplimentary to the handles scales, and the bolster and blade have picked up the coloring too. Good clarity on the grinds though, and that's important.

The eye knows, and it doesn't accept the closed view as floating there with no shadow to support it.

I have seen your work get better and better. Take my critiques as one who wants to help. You are doing these knives 'justice'!

I took this opportunity to play and learn myself, so I did a few changes in PhotoShop to see if I could improve it. I hope you don't mind. You tell me.

I did so many litle things it's unimportant. What I wanted was a better overall look.

It's the subtlties that really make a difference. Of course everyone's eye is different, and I am on a learning curve myself. But we are here to help each other, right? :D

Thanks for your input Coop. Your critique is always appreciated. Since I am using photoshop elements, and not the full blown photoshop, I'll get with you off line so I understand the process you used.

lol, i found that signature from another forum, it doesn't reveal your ip or info to other people it just shows you what your own ip and info is. Like if you were to go to www.whatismyip.com.
