Larry Davidson Fast Wind

Hey guys, I’m in search of one of Larry’s Fast Wind models for sale. I am one of his sons and since his departure from knife making he did not keep any of his own builds. The Fast Wind was his favorite model and my brother and I are trying to track down one for him as a Christmas present. Thanks in advance for any help with my search!

Welcome to Bladeforums. I am familiar with your dad's work (I own a D/A auto he built for me in 2002.)

I am certain very few folks (including me) know what the 'Fast Wind' is. Fixed? Folder? Please include a link to a photo?

Here’s a pic of the Fast Wind. I believe they were all D/A but not 100% certain. I am interested in finding one that is a D/A if at possible.

Wish I could help with this as I remember Larry's work very fondly. I think I still have a few a set 1911 G10 grips from him. Best regards to your dad and good luck with the search!

Unfortunately I don't own any of your Dad's knives but way back 2004 when I was getting ready to buy my fist CNC Haas mill, Larry was very generous with his time and knowledge. He played a big part in my making the correct decision and helping me get up and running in the world of CNC machining. And if I hadn't done that when I did, I would have been forced to close my shop and leave knife making in 2008 at the latest. Please tell Larry "Hi" from me and that I have never forgotten his help and support. I remain much obliged...
