Here's a big liner lock from Larry. Got this about 9 months ago. I haven't seen any pics of it on the forums to date, so I figured I share.

It sports a 3/16" thick, 4.25" CPM S30V modified Warnclife style blade. Super thick titanium handles with a brushed satin finish. This is #1 of 5 he made in this configuration. Wicked looking beast!
Pardon my lack of photo skills..I'm still learning. I think I'll aks Minfeng for some photo advice! Anyway, enjoy.;)

Wow, nice. You don't see too many of those! I love that tetra. Thanks a lot. The scales look pretty thick on that, are they or is it just my eyes playing tricks on me?

Keith:
Thanks for the compliment. It is a wicked design for sure.

Sammy:
Thanks for the info and the link. Those pics seem to show the
true size of this piece. Oh yeah, I forgot that Larry calls
it a "Leaflock" as the lock is a recesed seperate stainless
leaf machined into a recess in the thick handle.

Nybble:
Yeah, the handles are very thick...almost as thick as the blade.
Here's a comparison photo with a Carson Large Model 4 and a
Boguszewski Large Classic...

"Well...check out the big brain on Tom!"
Tom, you've caught me at a loss. Here I thought for all these months that Larry designed the Tetra...but there I go thinnin again.

Perhaps you will share with us the true identity of the designer.;)
Inquiring minds want to know! Proper credit must & will be assigned!
Whoever he/she is though (I figure Ferret's come in both genders,) I like the way they think outside the box!;)

Tom,

You might check w/ LD and Ferret as to the route taken on the design of that knife. IIRC it is not Ferret's design. If anything it is a "influenced by" not "designed by"..

-Sam.

Ferret aka David Winch used to be more common around these parts his site: http://www.ferretknives.com/

Ferret and Larry Davidson did some work together i think you can find some of the pictures around here somewhere.

I love the knife.

Tom, I did a little research and checked Ferret's site in Sydney, and I can certainly see the similarity of the warnclife blade of his "Firbrand", and scalloping/tiers and shape of the handles of his "Raptor X" in the "Tetra".

Whoever thunk it up though...my compliments and appreciation of some fine talent. Maybe it should be called a "Ferretson" (just kidding Larry)! Great work!;)

It's a sort of proto-collaboration between Dav and Larry. Early on they were swapping cad files and Larry took one and made this knife. Dav and Larry are very close now, have an official collaboration and plan on more! Two wicked minds at work.
