Larry Lunn is a Part Time maker down in Florida ways and recently sent me this pic which I thought was very very pretty and wanted to share, I do believe that this is already sold but it shows off some of his talent...;)

He calls this one Dragon's Breath.

This is awesome! We get to see the absolute best there is here on the forums. That folder is a work of art and craftsmanship!!!! Amazing!

That is fantastic! What is the bolster material. Don't recall ever seeing anything like it. Is the blade laminated? I love the effect of the "plain" edge with the damascus.

That picture is captioned #2. Do you have another?

Beautiful.Could you give us some details.Who made the bolsters & damascus?Whats the blade size? How come I never heard of this guy;)

As I had said Larry is a part time maker, machinist is his main work. Plus a martial artist as well, 1988 he was a coach for the Olympics Karate Team. He isn't as active as he'd like to be in martial arts right now but he is one tough fella!

As to that blade, it is damascus, not sure how he made the fire along the edge, or rather Dragon's breath. And the bolsters I'll have to have him comment or let me know and I'll respond here.

As to the name of the pic being a #2, that was just a naming convention when I reduced the size inorder to upload the image to Bladeforums, BUT I did receive two pics in that email from him and thought I'd share the other one now...

Enjoy!

Thanks, Gary -- I knew you were holding something out on us! This knife is simply magnificent! Unbelievable! The color of the blade, the incredible mosaic, the great filework, where has this guy been hiding? I think somebody ought to sic one of the magazines on him.

Absolutely beautiful work !!! It is really a pleasure to come to this forum and participate.

Do you have contact information for this gentleman in case we choose to acquire some of his work for our personal gratification??

Larry has a talented lady with him, named Gail Humel, who is a knife an up and coming maker herself!

Larry emailed me a few pics of her work, enjoy!

Here is one more; there were three knives, one of the files were very large and didn't want to load up, but here at least are two fine examples!

Gary, now I'm gonna have to wash my shirt to get the drool off! Those are all fantastic! Got more? DOn't stop now....:D

I'll try to upload these two images, the first is the knife itself and the next post is the spine...pretty nice stuff!

Again these are not Larry's knives, they are Gail's and WOW you can really see that this woman has a passion for knives! ;)

Larry is working on a Butterfly knife for me right now, with cocobolo scales and nice damascus blade, a LARGE blade I might add. I am not sure if he will be taking orders for anymore butterflys but thought I'd share this one with you guys/gals. He has the inserts in and needs to finish off the pins and make the latch and she's ready to Swing!
Blade is about 5" long!
