F&S ran a collection of profiles on various collectors, and one of them is famed Buck collector Larry Oden. Congrats to Larry on this piece. Page 97 of the September 2007 issue.

In 1997 Larry spotted me at a knife show aimlessly trying to select the right Buck to add to my young collection. Of course he was able to help select the right one. Thanks for fueling the addicition Larry! BCCI addict #434
 
To Cool Mr. Oden!!!!!,

"Larry Oden, 54 Controller"???? I thought Larry was a Buck wrangler....or a Buck Puppet master...LOL. That's the way I feel when ever Larry's new list arrives. Congratulations Larry!!!!! When I started to collect only Buck knives Mr. Oden helped me sign up for the BCCI #1253 and has helped me score a few very nice Buck knives.

:cool:...What a terrific article about a terrific guy...CONGRATS LARRY...No one deserves accolades regarding the history and collection of Buck knives more than does Mr. Oden...I hope my admiration of you and gratitude for all you've done for all of us here is showing...Now if you'd just send me that "list of goodies" you send to everyone else from time to time I'd really like ya...:eek:...LMAO...Thanks for everything Larry...You Da Man!!...:thumbup::thumbup::)

Very nice recognition Larry ,congratulations.
You were a major factor in getting me back into
collecting Buck knives,I wish I had found you
sooner. I hope to see your collection in person some day.
May there be plenty of rabbits too hunt this winter
for you.
