I visited the Bass Pro Shop in Las Vegas, NV today and I was surprised at the very large selection of Buck knives they had in stock. There were quite a few of the less expensive imports, Bucklites, Bantams, etc. in clam packs out where you could hsndle them. The more costly ones were all out of their boxes and in either glass fronted wall cases or under glass, in or on the counter

They had a few LE's including the Timberlake 110 and 532's plus some bone handled fixed blades. The gentleman manning the cutlery section seemed to know his knives and told me that he always attends the SHOT show and has met and talked to Chuck on more than one occasion.

My first time in one of these places and it's just a little overwhelming! Cool that this one also had a Casino!

The Casino was there first! BP built their store with an open walk way into that casino......yep it's way cool. What did you think of the waterfall with live ducks swimming in the pool below?

Yeah, the indoor duck pond/waterfall is pretty spectacular as is the huge marine aquarium in the casino side. I watched a diver in there yesterday, I think he was doing some cleaning. Then there was a big one with a very large sturgeon in it and another with some huge trout.

I'm going to stop by there on our way out tomorrow and check the knives again. I may pick up the wood handled Red Head skinner that is made by Buck for them. I have the two other versions and that would give me the set.

I've always liked that knife. There were pictures of that model posted here during a discussion. I don't know who designed it but its muy gupo. DM

Well, I didn't make it back to BPS. We left the hotel at 6:45 AM and they don't open until 9. The wind was blowing a gale and both my son's and my allegies were in high gear so all we wanted was to get out of town.
