Las Vegas knife stores.

I am heading to Lost Wages for the big consumer electonics show in early January and am wondering if there are any good knife shops to visit. Do any of them have a selection of custom knives?

I just got back from Vegas, where my fiancee and I were planning our wedding. By happy coincidence, the tuxedo rental shop where I found my tux was right next to a knife store. The address was 3540 W. Sahara. The store was ok. No customs that I saw, but there were a lot of high-end production knives. A lot of POS as well, but I had a chance to handle a good amount of nice blades that I've never seen up close before. I was pretty impressed with the selection of Al Mar folders, for example, which I've never handled. Anyway, that was the only store I hapopened upon. Good luck!

I'll be at CES as well (manufacturer's rep/ home theater & HiFi)and have been to the above mentioned store. Email me if you want more details. I was a really sweet AlMar SERE auto there. No real customs, but lots of better factory knives.

PS: what brings you to CES?

The reason for my trip to CES is business. I work at a high end audio/video store and am going to look over equipment. I figure when I am there I may as well take in as much knife related stuff as possible. CES takes up a huge amount of available time, but I should be able to get out and spend time checking out my favorite things.

Edited to correct a typo.

Check out Blanchard's fine cutlery. they have ads in both blade and knives illustrated.Tthey are located at
3507 S. Maryland Pkwy in las vegas nevads. They have customs, and live demonstrations of endraving and knife making.

I'll be there in FEB!

I'm hoping to go to the CES as well...if I'm there I guess I should check out some of these shops. :)

Thanks for the tips guys. Striper, Blanchard's Fine Cutlery sounds like it is really worth checking out. Thanks for the recommendation. :)

So like I said, what brings you to CES? Maybe we could find other knife nuts attending and arrange to have a drink or something?

jmx, you must have missed my post above that explains why I am going to CES. What company do you work for?

Getting together for a drink sounds like a great idea. Any other members going to be at CES? Let's all see if we can get together.

I work for LP Sales. You can check us out at www.lpsales.net. What store do you work in? While your name doesn't ring a bell, you could possibly be in my teritory(I cover nearly all the high end stores in the Southwest). More importantly, the A/V biz is like one big incestous family?

For reps, the show is even more brutal that for retailers (no offence, I was one for 14 years)so time is certainly a premium, but I'd love to see about a meet, especially if there are a few other nuts out there.

You're not related to the infamous Ford Mongomery are you?
