I have recently finished Air Force Officer Training School and wanted to get a something to commemorate becoming a new member of the Air Force family. What better way than to get a new knife, right? The internet is saturated with crappy "truck stop knives" with the USAF logo on it, but I want to get something that I will actually carry. I saw someone on ebay who sells Kershaw Leeks with the AF logo laser engraved on it. They are the standard aluminum leeks with a black stamp. I know nothing about laser engraving, but I thought it would be cool to get one of the newer Navy Blue leeks and see if any of you can laser engrave the AF logo on the handle or could point to me to someone who can. Or at least get me a quote! Thanks in advance!

Buy the Leek and take it to a Trophy shop and have it engraved. A buddy just did a bunch of CB Leeks for his groomsmen and had them sandblasted. They look pretty good but all the sand got into the pivots and none work. I am going to take the apart and clean them all up for him. So I would stay away from the sandblasting.......

Just buy from a store that actually does in house laser engraving. Not many of the people here (collectors, casual readers, or long time members) would have a laser engraver handy. Stores like One Stop Knife Shop, KnivesShipFree, and Knife Works (among many others) are equipped for this.
