Laser Engraving on LC200N

Need advice. My wife wants to engrave a personal message on the blade of a LC200N Native.
The engraving company said they can only laser engrave on stainless. This got me wondering, LC200N is a special ass steel, is it safe? Or will it mess up my blade? I'm almost 100% sure they will have no clue as to what LC200N is.
 
LC200n, as in the steel NASA uses, responds surprisingly well to engraving

the assuming being the person who's doing the engraving knows what they're doing

it's not like you're getting a fake face tattoo or something too far out there (j/k)
 
It is certainly a stainless steel if ever there was one.
 
Think it came out great! darker than expected.
