I'm thinking of getting a Myercnin AF300 rigging knife , it has as you can see been laser etched with gen 2 . I'm good with the whale . How deep do you think this etch is ? (my guess .0003-5) . How would you go about getting it off ? I'm thinking wet/dry different grits . I'm sure the blade is not mirror polish . Sorry can't get picture to post .

I have a Myerchin rigging knife, and its pretty much junk. It feels like a $10 Chinese knife, and the back spring doesn't have enough tension to keep the blade closed. As a result, there is almost 1/2" of freeplay that allows the blade to open slightly on its own.....😲
