Has any one seen a BK five with the new coating and a laser etched logo? If so I would love to see a picture. Also where they hell did you get it from?
 
I'm sure that the distributors are just working through their stock. If you call Tomars they may let you know when the new style is available. Who knows they may even have some in the stock room that they can send you.
 
I don't think any more BK5's are going to be made anytime soon. This is what moose said a while a back. They aren't a big seller and there is a lot of stock made. I could be remembering this wrong though. Better get 'em while you can!

Glad I bought mine when I did, then. It should be here in the morning.
 
Sorry, mine is stamped. I thought it was laser etched but I just looked at the photos.

I got it from BeckerWest ;)
 
I have neither seen nor heard of laser'ed BK-5 but don't let the roll stamp deter you, it's a superlative blade! Mine gets more action than a budget motel on Saturday night.

But in all seriousness, it is an all-star on a camping trip. Handles all kinds of chores with ease.
