Laser Etching

We have a set of knives to be shipped tomorrow but the customer wanted them personalized so Carol took them out to a company that does laser etching to have the names put on.

I must say that I am impressed, the etch is the same shade of grey as my name etch but it is extremely sharp edged and uniform. All in all very professional looking. We will be using this system in the future for personalized orders.

I have no more information on the company which did the work right now because Carol didn't tell me where she went.

George, is there any depth to it as in an electro-etch mark? What did they charge? There's a guy around here that says he can do laser etching, I've just not bothered to check out how well it works!

The depth is about the same as from my electroetching and price was $6 each. Unforunately they are on the other side of Toronto, about 45 minutes each way.
