Laser pointer

I'm in the market for a handheld laser device.

I'd like it to use rechargable batteries or at least be rechargable itself.

Can anyone share any experience with the newer stuff out there? I had a keychain device that used button batteries years ago that the connector corroded out on. I don't have much more experience than that so I could use a bit of direction.

If there are any USA made devices that would be my first choice.
