Lashing to a Pygmy Falcon II

I figure that there is no sense in me trying to re-invent the wheel with all of this collective knowledge here, so I need some advise. I want to lash a kydex sheath knife to the bottom of my pygmy falcon II. The ideal set-up would be in the horizontal position, and preferably at the bottom, where there are two tabs that the elastic cord goes through. This way I can reach behind me to get it, below the bottom of the pack. One important item, would be that it can be removed without having to unlace all of the paracord. That would be annoying. I know, I have been doing it all along. The sheath has the multitude of hollow rivets, as they all do. Let me know your thoughts. All ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,

No, the knife can stay there when I have the bag, but there are a lot of times that I want to take the knife, without the bag.

I've got a PFII with a Becker lashed to it - I'll snap some pics tomorrow and post them up.

Hello

David...

What kind of knife is it ??
Secondly I'm not exactly sure what the pack looks lkie ..

Can you post some pics??

The best way to probably go about it is to fasten the sheath onto the pack, and get a second sheath for belt carry, then simply swap the knife from the two sheaths as needed... I have customers who have 3-4 of the same sheaths fastened to stuff, then simply swap out the blade as needed..

If the pouch has MOLLE ladder loops,, then this becomes even easier in a way..

Whatever you do,, don't lash it on with 550.. It's kind of a crappy way of doing it,, and will flop and bounce around..

Get some industrial Zip ties and put it on that way...

You could also use a Molle Lok as well..

Molle Loks break, are hard and clinky and high profile. I don't have a problem with 550 especially if I put a drop of epoxy on the knot. I have my HEST horizontally carried as tight as a virgin on my belt with 550 chord, and have attached numberous styles of sheath to my pack with 550 chord that would be just as tight as any other method.

There are a few kydex sheath makers on here that could make whatever you decide upon. Come up with your own design, draw it up, and send your knife to a maker and have them make what is perfect for you.

I came up with a solution .... I think! I went hunting in our local hardware store, and saw some stainless steel links, like the kind you use to repair a chain with. I bought 2 of the smallest that they had, and will try them out, and let you know how they work.
Thanks,
Dave.
