With my job I am off in the middle of the week. So the wife and I take these 2day trips. This time we went to Arkansas. The first night we stayed at Lake DeGray lodge. I did not take the pictures of that one. But the second day we stayed at Mt. Magazine.

Did not get very many pictures of DeGray. It is a nice lake with a lot to do there. Did not have much time.

Nice shots Hawkeye. Never been hiking in Arkansas , but I've driven few a few times and seen some beautiful areas. I've done some reading up on hiking trails and water falls out there and I really want to go hiking out there one autumn. I have a Suunto MC2G and love it.

Thanks Doc,Kgd and Mist. We were going to do the picnic thing but there was just no time. It really was nice up on Mt. Mag. was 74 Deg's at 4:30 p.m.

which was like 30 deg's cooler that where we live in Texas that time of day.Nice and cool in the morning. There are some longer trails there with a water all when they have had some rain. But they were dry there at the time we were there and had a Burn ban on ever where.

I do love the Rat -3 and My Suunto Mc2g .

Looks like a fun couple of places to visit, Jeff. One good thing about doing mini vacations in the middle of the week, Less people are doing that too lol.

Hey Bryan, You are sure right about less people. make's it kind of nice too. I was going to take a picture of the m 6/12 at the highest point thing
but somebody left it at home . My bad. I was going to have a fire and use my new snow peak 1400 cup to make soup in .But that country is so dry if you light a match Smokey the Bear would be there to blow it out.Ha.
