Dudley: BEFORE you continue this rant..... Is the contact in ANY WAY related to Blade Magazine, Knives Annual, or Gun Digest?

Serious. This may be an outside vendor? Because I get those kind of spams all the time, before the show.

Why contact info was left out is beyond me, too, but it presents opportunities for others....
 
I learned from publishers, that the woman above is not in any way part of the Knives Annual organization.

FYI, this was not a “rant”, it was the passing on of information that might be pertinent to some.

I don’t make a living from knives but I have spent a living collecting them for some 50 years….and a ‘book’ I’ve had my work and name in for 30 years….sad that things have come to this, IMHO.

I guess at some some point we’re all ‘opportunists’, huh?
 
Dudley, this post came out one day after an informative-turned-'ranting' thread on Knives Annual 2021.

This seemed like another opportunity to point out shortcomings. Your title with it's '40 missing pages' reference linked KA with an unknown 'opportunist', OR that the magazine organization was now prodding us for more.. ;)

it was very easy to conclude this was a rant continuance. I apologize because I was defending something I am VERY vested in. You, like me, are educating others. I appreciate all you do.

ALL this said, the folks above MAY have a very nice data product which, for some, may be pertinent.

I have NO idea what they are charging, but methinks it's MORE than $22.95. (I have 40 past copies with directories. I'll look in them if needed, but I never have. Google works.)

I rec'd my copy today and only looked inside VERY briefly.

Listed and included knifemaker info: Name, email, phone, town (NO address), website and pages to find them.

Bases covered nicely in this regard. Nailed it! ;)
 
Sorry, but I constantly find google doesn't work for many knifemakers. Some are just too old fashion about having anything to do with the web. Having an address and an idea what they specialize in can be very useful.
