Later on TT produced "Black Ravens" without embossing so we cannot say TT stopped making Black Ravens

Try to explain to them the difference between phantom bevels and plain shape axes. Show them screenshot of page 151 from TT catalog. The embossing on full size axes was done on plain shape, not phantom beveled ones. I also posted link to worhpoint page that lists former transactions.... There are some Black raven phantom beveled hatchets but no full size axes.

Thanks for info , won’t turn down any advice or information you guys have . I’ve already got pay pal on the case and I have buyer protection and with information and photos of kellyaxe mfg co dating on axe embossing and date of patent for ridges in axe eye , plus double bits didn’t have shadow bevels I think I’ll have a strong case .
Also previous post said some of guys had notified eBay the axe was a fake , if they could remember timeline I could contact eBay and ask why all individuals bidding weren’t notified or red flag the auction . I bid on axe at 7:30 am Saturday and at 5 pm I was contacted by seller on eBay that I was high bidder and he would end auction if I wanted axe , since another bidder also had bid $850 and my bid was first . Know looking back ,why would he end auction just because I had reached his original buy now price , makes me think eBay had contacted him about calls of fraud , maybe eBay has some liabilities here also ! Thanks to all and for such quick and informative help !,,

Hello brother.

Regarding the reports let me direct you to the place I saw this auction posted and you will see who the people are that reported it to ebay. They could tell you times the reported by private messaging them.

So it's a Facebook group called 'Axe Junkies'. If you don't have a Facebook account you will need to create one or use your daughters/little sisters/whatever.

In the main Facebook search bar put in 'Axe Junkies' and search. The group is publicly listed so anyone can go on and read the posts etc.

Once on the page on the left column half way down the list there is another smaller search box specifically for the page itself. Copy and paste this into it 'Pre 1930? This looks like a later Kelly Perfect with a fake Raven etch' and hit enter.

Only one post will appear that is the post where the auction was posted, click on the comments button to expand all comments, you will see everyone noticed it was fake :\ and the people who contacted ebay. Click on their profile and send private message.

Good luck any questions just ask.

I’m curious about the embossing/etching that was done on the one you bought. I saw the photos in the link for the auction but If it’s not too much to ask would you to post some closeups showing the depth and texture of the stamp?
