Wildmanh,

You take great pix? I'm surprised the man didn't mess with you(?) weilding that massive blade in a parking lot.

Okay, here are the last pics.

Wildmanh,

Nope, he didn't give me any problems. But you should have seen the looks on some of the peoples faces at Chuck-O-Rama! :D A group of girls came out as we were taking those pics and stopped to ask us if those knives were real. I don't know if Dan saw it but there was someone in a car driving past and their eyes were as big as dinner plates. he he he It was FUN! :D

The top pic is my Peterson original. The handle is exteremly comfortable. Its my "fighter". Under it is my karda.

The khuk I'm carrying is my WWII 18". I rigged up a strap that connects to some D rings that are sewn on to the frog.

The next pic is my katar made by Tom Holt. A mean bastard. I punched through 16 gauge steel with no deformation of the tip.

You can also see me brandishing Heber's Camp Tramp. Also a sweet knife.

I think the man was far too frightened of a skilled Vampire Hunter with so many blades. We got a couple of "Are those real?", and some bug eyes but that was it.

Nice pics.

If I tried waving my toys around in public I'd get a visit from a police armed response unit, complete with H&K MP5's.

Heber and Dan,
Cool pics! Sorry I couldn't make it over. Looks as thu you brought neat "goodies" to show and tell! You guys were lucky one of the Bailiffs from the Juvie court (I think they're west of where you were in an converted bank building)didn't see you. There would have been all kinds of excitment then :D :p !

I don't know if Dan(??) Peterson based his design on persian knives or not. When I met him at the gun show I talked to him for about an hour and decided I had to have one of his blades. He told me $125 for anything on the table. Most of the knives were the size of mine, but some were true fighters, large bowie types. I found one that I liked, then asked if he had something with more of a point, slim. Meant for defense. He said to hold on and started digging through this old suitcase, then from under several sheaths and in a pocket out came my beauty. I'll only ever use this knife to cut things trying to hurt me, the blade demands it. I asked Mr. Peterson how he makes the handles so nice, so comfortable, he told me when he was an apprentice the guy who taught him said to make a handle elegant it has to flow. I guess he just took it from there.
It has to felt to be believed, but its not for everyone. I don't think Heber liked it much.

Hey Heber, can you put up pics of the sword? I'd like to show the folks who know who Tom Holt is. Thanks.

Hey VHD, sorry but we forgot to get pics of the sword.:( It's a sweet short sword though. I'll remember to get some next time.;)

I'm not much into "Fighters" but your Peterson is pretty sweet. If you ever think of parting with it let me know. I wouldn't mind having it in my collection. :D BTW one of my mom's neighbor has 3 to 5 of his knives. He really does nice work.:)

Sigh! I've gotta get another Kumar Karda.

It's like all the other HI's. Once you hold them you invent a use for them - even if it's for an event about as likely to happen as your winning the lottery.

That sucks. I was sure we took pics of that sword. I don't think I mentioned it before, but Tom Holt made the Katar.

Rusty,

I know what you mean. My wife says that I should sell my WWII now that I'm getting a BAS.
