2 more weeks to the Australian Guild Show in Melbourne. This one is less than 24hours old. I now have 16sheaths to make !! If anyone is interested to try the clay-backed quench technique and finishing technique, let me know'cos its actually quite simple and seems to produce quite good results for me. I'm interested to see what others can do with the methods. Sorry, its quite image rich - playing with my camera. Thanx for looking. Cheers. Jason.

Please don't feel that you have to stop posting pictures of these great knives just because you promised this would be the last one before the show. Post as many as you like, I don't mind.

O.K., Jason, that is beutiful. I love the hamon. I'd be interested in seeing a description of your quench and finishing , method, as I'm sure alot of the guys on the Shop Talk forums would. When your have a moment, let us in on it. Thanks, and keep up the great work.

I am interested to share the technique and already have a mini-tutorial ready to email to anyone interested. I'm not sure if there is a techniques workshop or tutorial page I can formally post to. Perhaps anyone interested can email me and I can email you back directly with the rather simple, but long and pedantic description of my technique. What I was hoping was for others to try out the technique and feedback about what it did for them.

My email is jason@jcbknives.com or kwongyeang@yahoo.com.au

Cheers. Jason.

There is a remarkable feeling and creativity with color and pattern in these knives. Not your usual gray and black scheme, denoting tactical. This proves you can be tactical in high style.

No one should have to suffer seeing me dance. This knife is now spoken for. The new owner has been kind enough to let me take it to the Guild Show as one of the centrepiece features of my table. Just to complete the picture, I'll try to do some shots of the sheath that is still drying in my workshop. Thanks for all the kind words and suggestions. They are all very much appreciated. Cheers. Jason.

Good work on the handles. The hamon is great too, but the handles, I think, are really the innovative piece I think there's a great future for synthetic (micarta, G10, etc) bolsters and guards.
