i have taken a job that pays 1/2 of what i was making due to the economy. i am taking about $100 out of my savings to buy one last knife. im not going to live off of the gov. and take the un-employment. but i want to buy a traditional folder. i would love to carry a tribal spear but it is way outta my $ range. no applogises needed for the job situation as ther are many members here in the same boat.what knife would you buy for your last splurge? slipjoints only plese.

Case cv soddie junior in yella. Good luck with the job situation, man.

Give us an idea of what you prefer size-wise and whether you prefer single or multi-blade.

I'm sure we can come up with something...

Maybe tell us what you have, and what kind of clothing, office/work environment you have to deal with. Jeans or dockers/dress pants. Makes a difference. Is this knife going to be a out in the woods camping tool, or a suburban pocket utility cutter?

Carl.

Not knowing your preferences, I am going to go out on a limb and suggest the Northwoods Indian River Jack in ebony. Right in your budget range and a very pocketable and handsome slipjoint.

What Campbell said....

Ditto. That is if you don't have one. It's one of the best knives that Case has made in a while IMO. Really great knife for the price.

What size knife are you looking for?

I am sharpening a Case Swayback Jack in CV for a friend. It is a great little knife.

The USA made Schrades can be found on that auction site for cheaper than a hundred.

How about a Queen Cutlery Teardrop Liner lock in Amber Carved Bone? About 3.75" beautiful knife and you'll get change for a cheaper knife to go with it too!

Either a Queen made Moore Maker stockman #5300 or a Queen equivelant in curly zebra wood.

Pictures are worth a thousand words:D
