When my niece asked me what is it i said baby hands... Nothing do to with survival. But as food is as high on people minds as knives are i wonder who else eats baby hands lol.. I use spices and BBQ sauce. Not much meat but the flavor is awsome.

Only ever ate them as part of Dim Sum....I prefer the curried cuttlefish, BBQ pork rolls, shrimp pastries and other things in preference to chicken feet :D

I love chicken feet... As a kid my mom said that would be the only meat i would eat... Also the only one in the house that would eat them lol.
Ray Fryed feet are awsome, Now dip them in flour mixed with spices then into raw egg that you beat, Next step into the frying pan.... man im drooling already...With some fries........................................

Sasha, I love how you love food and you're willing to try different things. Next bushbash, I will try to bring some strange Filipino food for you to try.

The poor girl... you could have traumatized her for life! ;)

I've never had chicken feet. One of my hunting buddies tells me he had them often when he was a Marine stationed in the Phillipines and really enjoyed them. I always tried to picture them in my mind, but I was imagining them as being a lot skinnier... your photo shows me there is a little more there than I thought!

Bon apetit!

Stay sharp,

Ray i would love to try some of the food... I did have the eggs a long time ago.. I forgot the name. I love to drink raw eggs out of the shall. If you realy want to play a joke on someone use a needle to make a hole at each end of the egg suck the insides out. Then put it back in the fridge. Just think of the surprise they would have when they find an empty egg.. Or fill it up with water, Just make sure they dont try and fry it..
Desmobob my niece was a very good girl as she was told they are the hands from bad kids that someone cut there hands off. I were put in my place by my sis. As for the meat there isnt much on there. But the flavor is very good...

If we're being honest..... I think they're gross :)

My grandfather owned a butcher shop so we always had soem scraps in the house that I never really got used to. Sauteed pig skin is one of them .. yuk ..

Quick question for Sasha. How is the texture of the chickens feet after barbequeuing, and are they a bit tough.

I've had chicken and ducks feet dim sum, which have been steamed for a while and nice and soft.

I've tried and eaten a lot of things while traveling, but could never get my gums around chicken feet. Tried 'em, just don't like them.

Never could understand the pleasure of nibbling the gelatinous skin off those suckers... -and having to spit-out all those knuckles! I've seen tabletops covered in little knuckles after some feasting by friends, all I can say is "the horror, the horrrrorrr!"

If you BBQ them they are more on the chewy side and alittle on the tough side. With an intresting texture and flavor. I do like them but i were the only one to eat them.. If you make soup out of them.. Which is AWSOME they are tender, meat falls off the bones. I would say cooked in soup they are the best.. I dont know about you guys but i always like to eat the bone marrow in the bones when cooked in soups.

Hey Shotgun looking at the pic i think you are right lol... But i got even as i eat that finger.. Moral of the story dont point fingers at me or i would bite them off lol...

Bone marrow is one thing I've never tried. I feed it to my dog, but I've heard that it tastes amazing. I've got to find a place that serves and cooks it good. I wouldn't trust myself cooking as I would probably screws it up and think it tasted bad.

All I know that if a chicken foot is equal or more nasty in comparison to my foot, I wouldn't want to eat it. If you like feet so much I can clip a few toe-nails for you...I freak my wife out by calling them corn chips...or my yellow lovelies.
