dont know how many of you got to see it
but the show was Ghurka Centric
even had your favorite blade in it as the Ghurka removed the head of a bad guy in the first 2 minutes of the show
 
I'm wondering how that type of encounter would turn out in real life. I suspect it would have been a lot simpler and over very quickly; either Sam would have been down irreparably or Callan would have put some rounds into the Ghorkas pelvis at least. Also, Ghorkas are good shots, and I'm sure one working as an agent for Indian intelligence go go around attracting unwanted attention by leaving heads here and there by using just his khukuri. OTOH, I was kinda disappointed there was some more khuk work...

That was a fun episode to watch. It looked like maybe a 12" or 13" khuk. The handle looked large and so I was wondering if it might be a HI.

Yes but the little female. The old bat said transferred permit. I hope that she comes back because I think she is hot looking.
 
Did you see the part where they gave the Gurka back his knife in that cool looking sheath. It reminded me of a concealed weapons holster, which of course it was, just something that didn't shoot.

I wonder what kind of grind and steel those knives have? I wonder if old military Gurka weapons are still around for purchase.

When I was in the Navy, stationed in the Philippines, I saw some similar style bolo knives made by the locals from old jeep springs. They started out sharp but rusted like crazy so yalways had to be kept greased/oiled.

They had water buffalo horn handles. I still have one by my basement work bench.
