i have been piecing together a set for a friend that wants the tuna sword and wanted to ahve a complete single bevel set to match (or at least mostly match )
this is the last of the set
the vegetable knife
blade steel is CTS XHP at 62-63 hardness hand sanded face of blade (back is fine belt grind )
210mm long x 55mm tall flat ground fron and hollow back as proper for this style of knife
370 mm length over all
the handle front is gane then blackwood nic silver spacer buckeye burl and a 1/8 inch nic-silver pin
handle shape is a new one for me as most of my WA handles have been octagonal this one is called D shaped tho its not truely a D

So, you finally sold the sword!? I've handled it on two different occassions and it's increadible.

When you said single bevel, d shape handle and buckeye burl I immediately thought of Taro. But I might be wrong.
These are some of the knives you made for him.

Spent the evening watching these knives in action at Taro's restaurant.
My wife and I went to dinner there after the knife show.
Taro brags about you and the knives and I wouldn't be surprised if everyone of his customers know who you are Butch.
That Deba is a Monster! Taro gives the knives a good daily work out.
Dinner at Taro's was one of the most enjoyable meals I can remember.

They look awesome, gorgeous blades and handles. I always like Buckeye burl, goes very well with your blades. You have great style, excellent work as usual.
