Last of the 111?

At the Atlanta Knife show this June, I visited the Buck pavillion. I noticed they didn't have a 111, so I asked about them. I never had one and was curious. The guy said Smoky Mountian Knife Works will have them in their catalog in a few months. It is interesting they mention that one company and not others and why did I have to wait a few months?

Well, they just got their Fall catalog on-line and it looks like this may be the last of the 111's, maybe???

I like the $49 one, they both look pretty interesting to me. Oh, it says "Temporarily out of stock". This catalog just came out, sometimes they say that for a few days and then, it is in stock. So, I would expect it to be available soon.


 
Your standard 111 with 420HC, Lam Birchwood, & NS bolsters are around. Got mine from you know where for $42 delivered to the door. Its a really nice piece.
 
from what i was told in post falls ...
the 111 will still be available as a spacial order by any company for a LE ..
this is the last of the ones made with out orders ahead of time is how i take it..
but have been wrong before..
 
How can I find an Ironwood 111? Where did those come form exactly?

BEWARE: there are a number of flea sellers stating the sides are iron wood or rose wood and they are laminated !!
i am in a dispute with a seller from NC now!!
this could be from a unscrupulous wholesaler but i don't know!
they are using a stock image of ironwood but it is laminated obichee and
some are advertising rose wood also and it again is laminated obichee!!

on any from ebay with rose wood or iron wood ask if pict is stock or of the real knife... !!!! better safe then sorry!!! if stock image-
ask for pict of real knife if they wont then dont!!!
 
Has anyone ordered the engraved 111 smkw is offering? Waddya think? Can ya post a better picture than the one on the smkw website? THANKS. :confused:
