This one is from a drawing that NoahL sent me to make for him. He has given me permission to make this one of the Kitchen Series. It features a 7" x 2" x 3/32" blade, and is 11 1/2" overall. When they are offered they will use the standard 1/4" pins to match the others.

Hi Stomper -

Nice! Once again, a great collaboration.

Noah, will that be called the JK C&K Kleaver? ;^)

best regards -

Gorgeous work, John, and the wenge wood scales turned out nice and clean! I'll be mainly using it for slicing (although I specifically drew it out so you could chop as well), but I wanted it wide so it's easier to scoop up the finely diced stuff and so I can choke up on it more comfortably. I'll be doing a little review on it when I get it to go along with the pass-around. I'm bad with names, Andy, so all I managed was the JK Chef-toku, because I combined aspects of several chefs' knife designs and several santoku designs.

I suppose it would be easy to make it with a bit more of a point and bring the heal of the blade straight down? Or does it need be exactly as the original?

I don't see why he couldn't. You'll see why I put that choil in the heel when I do my review. As far as reviewing it along with the other knives--sorry guys, I can be generous but this is my birthday present to myself, so I'm gonna be selfish ;)

I love it John! Great design Noah. In the kitchen I'm a one or two knife user, and I really like design of this one.

That is one I will need. Great design.
