Being a big fan of Queen, I like most of you was saddened when I found out that Queen was closing it's doors.
I'm a user and a collector. But I tend to use more than collect. When it comes to using, my usual go to knife is a Queen, Case or a Buck. So I started picking up and ordering Queens and Schatts. Don't know why. I have enough to last five lifetimes. Anyhoo… the Queens are getting scarce.
I thought I might post a few pics in the coming days of some of the last Queens.
Here is a little # 26

Very nice little knife. F&F is very good. No gaps in the liners. Came pretty sharp. Well the grinds are a little off but still sharp. Good W&T. D2 steel and the Amber Bone slabs are outstanding. (I'm a sucker for the slabs)
No wiggle in the blades when open. Just a solid little Stockman.
I'm going to miss Queen. Just like I miss Camillus and Schrade. Glad I have a few to carry.

I have a couple I carry that are not going anywhere anytime soon. Both have edge issues that have been corrected and now are fine performers. The sad part is that they have some of the best edge holding steel ever presented in a traditional pattern slip joint.

I picked up this Queen made 2018 Tuna Valley from Ryan Daniels a few weekends ago at an Ohio knife show. These were just finished up from the engraving, and only just released on May 18. Ryan said these were one of the last runs of knives made at the factory before it closed in January.

What beautiful scales on that one and I love the blade combo and ... well ... everything.

I'm not sure I have anything newer than this unless the Tuna Valley Cattleman was made later.
The Cattleman was released Dec 31, 2016, so they were likely in production from Oct-Dec. There were a few other Tuna Valley patterns released after the Cattleman that came out in the summer of 2017.

Yes Dwight, I love that mammoth ivory with pieces of blue and green mixed in.

This is one of two of my Queens...... just happened a few weeks ago. Also have dropped my Burke/Queen grandad Barlow and cracked the bone.....

Bummer..

I've been thinking of picking up another Queen Peanut & some S&M F&W's. But there are so many other knives out there too.
That lottery jackpot can't come soon enough.

I started grabbing the Queen made black box Winchesters when I heard they were shutting down. They are some of the highest quality factory made slipjoints of their time. I have 3 that I EDC.--KV

Hold the phone here, is that a swell center pen knife with a coping secondary and what appears to be Birdseye Maple?

Please more information...pattern number, steel type (I assume D2 since most of the BEM knives we're)!!!
