Well, not as prolific as Dave Ferry, that man is a machine!!! nice work Dave! had a request for a Buck 110 sheath in burgundy and no embossing, so the contours of the knife provided the looks which is subtle and works well too. The 110 has about the nicest fitup for my style of sheaths as about any, just snaps into place so secure.

The leather ended up being a tad thicker than I usually use, so this sheath will certainly last a very long time.

And if anyone wants to chime in with one of their last ones for the year, please do so, for some that may be hard to pin down, but, take a shot and add if you can.

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to all in the "Sheaths & Such" family !

edited to add this photo of a sign my oldest daughter and her new husband gave me for Christmas to day and will be placed in my attic workshop at some point, it is engraved deeply and very well done ! Classy springs to mind and truer words were never written ;)

I'm not sure if this has ever been mentioned here before buttttttt.........

I used to frequent this place all the time in a strange misguided belief that I knew what I was talking about .

After the forum made changes recently in layout and overall vibe the option to administer likes instead of actual answers and responses has killed off the real time honesty of the forum to its own detriment .

Gary is a real person who gives real answers and genuine responses to questions , and has from day one for me been an inspiration and a mentor .

For everyone new here listen to what he suggests .
And everyone old here just nod knowingly .

Beautiful sheath Gary said in my best machine like/robotic voice, specially since I can't get the coffee machine to work this morning.
Congrats on your new sign! Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Merry Christmas Ken. I'll just sit here all sagely nodding.

Thanks Ken and Dave, you both are very kind cowboys of the highest caliber!

my one issue with the sheath is the thread, I picked up some thread from Tandy and hated it, the wax came off and left the thread transparent, so I went to Weaver Leather, bought what I thought was the same stuff I had bought before from them, but it is a thinner thread and also starts to become more transparent but not nearly as bad as the Tandy stuff.

The thread I use to get, I could just make it go into the eye of my needle, this goes in with very little trouble and as you can see it doesn't fill the holes as much as my old thread did, I'm at a loss here! After the holiday week I'll call Weaver leather up and asked why the change in their thread material. Problem is, I'm probably one of the last hold outs of the awl n awl stitching method, for me it just works best and usually looks neat and clean, but I'm not so fond of this thread :(

Hah one of my favorite shows and my youngest daughter too

I don’t know if that’s a better idea but I’m open to check it out as I’m not liking this look

Very nice. I have been taking off my clips lately and just chucking my knife in my pocket. These are great! Nice work.
