Wow, Im almost embarrassed:o to post these pics after looking at a few threads on here today, but owell, someday.....lol

This is probably the last knife I will post for a couple weeks, as I have to relocate my shop, and set every thing back up again....not thrilled about this at all, but it will deffinitelly give me the space I need (which i have been lacking for a while now) to maybe even bring some of my equiptment that i havent been able to use for a couple years due lack of space, like the surface grinder, and power hammer, and lots of other goodies:)

Also, due to its location, ill have the alone time i need to focus more and concentrate on some of the finer points that I feel I need to work on. (life has been a little hectic lately:o)

Anyway, this is one ive been sitting on for a little while now, and finally have it just about finished, it's 15 5/8'' of 1/4'' 01 tool steel. The blade was hand rubbed to 800 grit, then rubbed out with a polishing compound. I then gave it a quick etch, to take away that reflective shine, and then followed up by hand rubbing with a paste to remove the oxides from the etch. It kind of has a polished gun metal grey color to it.....or something like that:confused:

The handle is ironwood burl and has a nice palm swell to it, and the pins are nickle.

Owell, thanks for looking.

WOW bro - I must say that is the best looking blade I've seen come out of your shop. That thing is sweet! The handle looks to be perfectly contoured and blends into the blade perfectly.

Nice work.

that's a GREAT looking knife, Andrew! Right up my alley:thumbup::cool: It has a lot of care-filled design going on.

Good luck and I hope you have an efficient relocation of your shop:thumbup:.

Sometimes it's good to take a step back for a bit. Having some time to think about something you love doing is never a bad thing- so long as it's not because you're in jail or something:D.
And when you take that time, it's always good to have something good moving around in your brain, and this here knife shows that that is happening for you as we speak. If that makes any sense, but I'm sure you're pickin up what I'm puttin down.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what you begin work on once you settle in.:)

Great lookin Knife andrew. Good luck with your move and setting up your new shop!

that knife looks good to me . i dont see why you didnt want to post pictures of it.

You've got nothing to be ashamed of, that's a great looking blade. I had a chance to handle/use one of your blades that you made for a friend of mine. Great workmanship, beautiful lines and killer sharp. Keep up the excellent work.
