Hey! How come nobody told me about Buck 110's??
I picked one up at Wal-Mart last night, a basic brass-and-wood model with a partially serrated blade. I had thought about buying one for years, but always ended up buying something newer/exotic/tactical/etc. This is a GREAT knife, the fit, finish and lockup on mine is first rate. A few passes on my Sharpmaker and it's filleting paper. Sweeeeeet. If there's a list of Buck Happy Campers, put my name on it.
These guys ought to advertise or something... :)

Put my name on that list also!

If you like the 110, then get yourself a 112.

here's my 112 (fingergroove):

HEHEHEHEHE...another one catches the 110 virus, wait until you turn around and have 3 dozen in your house and wonder "how the heck did this happen!".

Welcome to the club!

I've not seen a 110 at Walmart with a partially serrated blade. Is this something new for this year?

Tom

I'm not sure.
I knew that Buck made serrated 110's. The clerk brought out one that was a plain blade, but the box was marked with a higher price. He dug around until he found one with the advertised price ($29.95) and I bought it. I did not know it was a serrated blade until I got it home. But since I like combo edges, it was, for me, a pleasant surprise. The box itself did not indicate a serrated edge. The blade is stamped Buck 110T U.S.A., but the "T" is upside down.

Oh, I know how it happens. It's my wife that ends up asking "how the heck did this happen!?!"

It's one of those things that will "sneak" up on you :D It happened to me...I think I started with a 110, then of course, I found a 100th anniiversary, but then for city use, they were bit big, so a 112 found it's way. And then, of course, you need a the Alpha folding hunter to keep it company - and then I found an NXT on sale, along with a Juno.... and then that Metro is pretty cute....and then I had a bunch of Bucks in my collection/accumulation  I'm currently on a Spyderco/Benchmade kick, but you know...the new 55 and Dorado...still want a northshore..... ;) A legacy for my kids, yeah, that's it..... ;)
Have fun in the world of Buck - I sure enjoy mine!!
