Well, I thought I would be smart and try something new. Pouring Pewter..... Never again. Pinholes, pinholes and more pinholes. Too bad, cause it is a nice blade.

Forged 1084 w/hammer textured ricasso
Clay coated heat treat
Full convex grind
Poured pewter guard:mad:
Redwood Burl mortised handle
OAL 9 3/4"
Tip to Guard 5 5/16"

Wouldn't pewter be awfully soft for a guard anyway? It seems like it would be more trouble then it would be worth? It's a nice looking knife though!!
