My supplier has still in stock a single remaining SpyKer. How collectible this will be? 3000 units is not so limited as far as I am concerned and I already am covered as far as EDC's. Good price offered to me, though.

i doubt a std model of a 3000 unit run will have any real collector value. by std i mean not numbered, MAYBE the numbered ones will command a small premium, not much though.

I doubt it'll have much collector value, but it looks like a good user knife. I'd have gotten one in a heart beat if they didn't have the name printed in huge letters on the blade :barf: .

If the price is good and you think you'd use it, get it.

I got two SpyKer's :o {accidentally} when they came out. I gave one to my brother in law and have used the other some myself recently. The blade is a fantastic cutter, especially where the sweeping curve is along the edge. In knife terms it's a lot for the money - full G10 handles with a nice carbon twill inlay and a s30v blade. I'm not sure how collectable it will be in sheer money terms but i'll guarantee you it'll be difficult to get a nice one later on ;)

I would buy it ! Blade swing is smooth and centred. Lockup on both of mines was a solid thunk and absolutely no blade play. The ergonomics of the SpyKer were also well though out, it feels great in the hand and when in use. Here's a little picture to whet your appetite

I would guess that the collectibility of the Spyker may have more to do with the collaboration between Spyderco and Kershaw than the number made.
