Jason,your knife goes out tomorrow morning.
Fitzo,The billet was forged by my friend Brad Vice.I get it from him at 3/8" thick and forge it out.The mix on this piece is 1095 and 5160.Since I don't have a power hammer available anymore,I have Brad or Chris Marks make the billets up.I am building a press when the new shop gets built.I still hand forge some small billets,but the old arm ain't what it used to be.Chris Marks is great.He will set up any billet just the way you say to.He will do as much work on it as you need,and you can finish the manipulation.Brad is cheap,but not as technically adept as Chris (but Brad is one heck of a nice guy).
 
Thanks for the explain, Stacy. Wish I'd gotten to meet Chris at Duncan's hammer-in before he moved back to Looziana but he couldn't make it that weekend.

If you get a chance to have any fotos of your stuff from Atlanta or take any more yourself, we'd appreciate seeing them. That spread of unfinished stuff at a distance was pretty tantalizing. :)
