Damn Andy same stuff as in Texas. I'm jealous. Thell more about your rifle and cleaver please.

Awesome pics Andy, thanks for sharing.
Also, sorry to say this, but y'alls deer look real ugly. Did she taste good?

hey... that's not a busse cleaver in that picture.... Chopping up pork without a proper hog cutter, shame shame

Looks like good fun! Please tell me that's a deer steak
......no all beef.... we did eat plenty of venison this trip however, it was all from the last trip. Venison (well any meat) needs to hang to bring out it's best, in this warmer weather at least a couple of days, up here in the cooler times five or six days in the meat safe before breaking it up and refrigerating it.

Thell more about your rifle and cleaver please.
.... the rifle started life as a Sako AII in 22/250 in the early 80s (I have it's twin still) that went to live on a farm and got beaten badly. When I bought it about 14yrs ago the stock was sun bleached, the barrel had no bluing an the first six inches of the bore in front of the chamber were smooth. New Tobler barrel, McMillian stock and some TLC and it has been my favourite ever rifle to hunt with !! The cleaver is the recent Expat Knives jobbie.

Awesome pics Andy, thanks for sharing.
