Well for fun I ran our stats and here are the Top 10 most popular threads for the last full week in April 2000!

If you guys like this I will try and do it weekly. (Yes I was bored)

BTW We now get over 400,000 hits a day and have about 10,000 unique visits per day.

That is 12,000,000 (Million) hits per month!

Wow- I am suprised to see that my review of Ed Schott's camp knife made the list!

I used to think that some poll threads brought in the most posts. But boy was I wrong. Mad Dog Threads have got poll threads beat. I thought the controversy would have died down a bit with the passing of time. I was wrong again.

Ha, ha.

Actually Mike, I think you've got a good idea here. I missed a lot of these threads (and some I didn't miss I wish I had).

Maybe you could put up a sidebar with the week's top ten posts or something like that.

The low, hoarse purr of the whirling stone—the light-press’d blade,
Diffusing, dropping, sideways-darting, in tiny showers of gold,
Sparkles from the wheel.

Hey Mike great idea. You should also post the top ten threads for each month. At the end of the year you could do the top threads and as well as the year in review thread containing some of the funniest threads. Hermanlocks Femtac Rearlock should qualify.

Neat idea, Mike. In one way, it's a shame that my GBU thread made #2 but, in another, it was gratifying to see the amount of support that I received.

IMO, this would be a cool weekly feature. I'm just hoping that Forum 25 doesn't make the list too frequently.

I'm with you Brian, Chiro's thread should have been #1, for good information and hard work, but it's the knife in the back (pun intended) that gets the prize.

It is good to know that people will stand behind each other, and obviously the trainwrecks get all the rubberneckers.

Great idea Mike, but I can't imagine you bored!

Is readership usually concentrated to the first day or two so it doesn't matter much when in this week the first post in a thread was posted? Is there a correlation between how long new posts are made in a thread and how many hits it gets?

I agree with KevinMillerCan. Please list with the topic names. I'd like to see the popular threads but may not want to go to everyone just to find if I want to read it.
