My thumb had an unhappy encounter with the grinder a while ago, so I'm just now getting around to finishing this Christmas present for my mom.
I love the way ebony looks with stainless pins, but decided I'd try something new.
These are pins I made from a piece of plain white bone scales that I cut into strips and then turned them down to 1/8" pins.
I think it looks really nice and it's the closest I can get to an ebony/ivory combination.
Steel is .090" 440c from Aldo
Stabilized ebony from Mark at Burlsource

Thanks for looking,
Leif
