It arrived, along with a few others yesterday afternoon. I have to confess, I did have something to do with the selection process
Anyway, among the knives I received, this one was one of my favorites, an old Schrade Walden NY USA 880 in peachseed bone:
It needed a little cleaning (after the "Kentucky Mint" treatment it had already received, darn it all), and a trip across the stones. It's surely seen some use, but is as tight as a drum, no wobble and very tight walk and talk. Just in time for T-bone Tuesday, too!
Straight in the pocket it goes, and I'm sure it will be good for another 40+ years of service.
Thank you girls!! Both my daughters' next gifts have just been upgraded a couple places, and my wifey's too
