Hey guys,
Wanted to post a few pictures and ask about something I noticed on my black on black PM2. The first picture shows the lockup position. From the research I've been doing, it seems like this is relatively late. It's either exactly in the middle at 50% or slightly past it. Most PM2 lockups I've seen have been closer to 30%. Does this decrease the lifetime of the lock? I do flick the knife open and closed quite a bit but I've only had it for about 2 weeks so if this is a problem then I should reevaluate the way I use the knife. Opinions welcome.
The second and third pictures are the early sticky or premature position. This doesn't happen when the knife is flicked open, or opened with any type of force. However, I noticed that if I open the knife very gently with 2 hands, it clicks into this early position where the lock bar has moved slightly but the stop pin has not fallen into the circular groove. The blade can still be shut although it requires more force than normal.
Anyone else seen this before? Anyway to fix it / is it normal?
Thanks in advance.
