Late lock up question

I just traded into a Cucchiara Dorado midtech and just found out that the lock up is pretty late. Not touching, but late. It has an internal stop pin. I assume the only way to remedy this would be to put a slightly larger stop pin in it?

Does it display any lock stick? Is the lock bar pretty stiff? I normally Try to weaken the lock bar tension a little bit and see if that take cares the problem.

Not sure yet. Won't have it in hand until Monday, but that's the first thing I'll check
