If I could carry all three at one time, I would;)
Here are a few closeups of a few new friendly users...

The GEC`s are quite similar. Both mains are about a 7 pull with a nice comfortable snap upon opening. The pens are about a 6 pull with a very easy opening snap, not hard, but user snug. Both close smoothly around to a nice snappy closing. Again, both GEC`s are damn near identical in opening/closing action. No half stops on either.

The import Schrade has half stops. And very snappy ones at that. Both blades will jump into half stop, then jump into open position. Quite loud, and with no play. Unlike the GEC`s, which will snuggle open, the Schrade jumps loudly. For an import, it has the highest quality of F&F among any I have encountered.

Given the choice though.........you won`t kick a GEC outta my pocket anytime soon :D

Wonderful show there thank you:thumbup:

Must say I'm surprised by that Schrade, didn't even know they offered a DL, must be getting left behind as usual:eek::D

Bone looks nicely set on it, don't care for that type of shield on any knife but the knife itself looks very decent.same side nail nicks too note GEC:thumbup:

Beauties all! That Schrade is new to me. Thanks for sharing.

I like them all. Like others, the Schrade is a surprise. I like the pen in front of the clip on the Schrade. - Ed J

I'm loving that smooth bone - lots of warmth on that one. Makes me want to hand rub a few coats of carnauba wax on it.

I'm with "the Stig", that smooth bone has me drooling. I just love that Tidioute sterile shield. Thanks for sharing.

I have the GEC Dogleg in ebony and the "Schrade-Walden" 65th Anniversary Dogleg and as already said, both are very nice, well made and feel great in hand.
The S-W 65th Ann. knives are the surprise here. There is a series of these, all just as nice as this DL. If you go looking for one, note that there are 2 very similar patterns. The other one as the handle swell in the opposite direction and the Master is more of a Turkish Clip.
Another great one in this series is a copy of the Schrade-Walden 2OT, the holy grail of Schrade collectors. The copy is called "Fancy Jack Knife" 3 1/2", well worth owning.
There is a GEC connection to the post 2004 Schrade branded knives. In 2006 they made the Schrade "Small Trapper", 3 3/4", looks more like a scaled down Jumbo Trapper. These knives have square and flush joints (tang flush with end of bolsters in closed and 1/2 stop positions), like one of the old Remington Bullet knives. If you ever see one of these, buy it (app. $50), superb and unique knife.

Very cool Dave, I may just check out that other Schrade a bit more carefully before I gift them lol, Im taking the GEC is Rams Horn?...in any case...those GEC's are simply fantstic knives, I would go as far to call them a higher end production knife when looking at the price for the knife...real bang for the buck.
Nice photos too by the way, thanks for the show

Thank you gentlemen (and lady Ash). My photo skills lack plenty, but it was fun to photograph the trio all at once.

Becoming somewhat of a jack fan more and more each day. Something about having that lil pen blade handy really is a treat.

rprocter is spot on. I own the Schrade fancy jack too, and it is just as nice. No half stops, 3 1/2" closed, grooved bolsters and good snap. For about 20 bucks, you really can`t beat it.

Duncan, you`ll love that teardrop Schrade. The GEC`s are cattle bone. The smooth white is more of a darker creamy color, and should darken even more with use. These doglegs really meld in your hand and are so comfortable.

And yes, I have one in each pocket, lol, is that wrong?
