A late night special edition of the DOTD.

20" Sirupate - no kami marks
Weight - 30oz.
Spine - 3/8"
Horn handle has slight gap between bolster and handle

That Siru strikes me as one elegant piece of art. That little gap could be filled in with a little epoxy mixed with charcoal and no one would be the wiser. Heck, a long soak in some hooflex might even shrink it up enough:)

Tempting, but I have several HI long arms as it is;)
 
That Sirupati is pretty sweet! At 30oz it would probably make a great chopper. If I wasn't broke I'd totally snag it. My 20 incher weighs in around 23oz and does a pretty good job but I bet this one would out chop my 16.5" WWII.

Someone shark this up please. I have to eat for 2 weeks and it's tempting me. ;)

If it's any consolation, a sirupate of that weight and length (I happen to have one, different make though) does indeed chop quite well, but for such use it cannot equal the performance of a blade that's more shaped for chopping.... like the other two listed above.
 
Anyone out there has another day to get that YCS, or I will.
