K fake apocalypse lone radio station report (1 year 7 months since the outbreak of the X57-1 virus an the following collapse)
Hello out there survivors, to whom ever is listening.. this is Robdude commin at ya late on KNBS am Utah.. its been a long time since the outbreak but their are the few of us hanging on.. as many of my regular listeners know.. I've been hiding out in top floor of the station.. the lower level is barricaded up.. I am ok on water but will need to head out tomorrow to search for food.. somehow one of the infected fell or lept from the adjacent building an landed on the roof of my slightly lower building last night.. I was asleep..when it crawled into the broken screen door..I was lucky it knocked over an old can, waking me.. I dispatched it with my blade to not waste my 9mm.
hope you out there have protection of some sort..anything... I'm sure glade I have my Busse War Train by my side.. it makes quick work if I get the drop..but they are fast. what little I've gathered.. this began with a government bio weapon test that was some kind of alteration of rabies. . but far more aggressive..you have seen the madness in their eyes!! anyway.. it somehow went haywire..shit..understatement of the century. ..it got lose an the anti virus was only effective in the beginning stages... these....creatures..aren't "dead" like some kind of zombie..they are alive, they will bleed out an die if shot or stabbed. Enough about me.. Who's out there?...Who's listening?.. tune in if you have a transmitter.. how are you surviving?...

Woah man. Thought there was no one left. I find that a choilless BOSSJACK with no handle scales at the end of a broomstick dispatch the funny looking b***ards nicely. Spilt the end twice, stick in the handle, and epoxy, duct, hockey tape to a nice tight spearhead.

Oh. Being up at his hour must have given you the jump on this madness as well..... I was glad to start my treck to safety while everyone was asleep. 4 hours is a serious head start.....

Eta: a tglb with no scales does the trick as well.... The double talon hole is super useful in the spear making regard.

Littlehoot here in Northern Alabama. I requisition a transmitter from the local station. We came out lucky. Here in Al, Nick Saban ran the tide out and those big guys cleared out a lot before they fell. Unfortunately that only went so far, but it kept a lot of the infected in Birmingham busy.

Ups here in the foothills in the Northern part of the state was a little different. At home we are good, the thousands of rounds of ammo many of us loaded has kept us safe, but when out scavenging, it can get dicey...More than once I've had to rely on my hawks and trusty BGTG. The boys have used rmds and BG ash1's with much success. I had one of the infected get into the compound last night. My Moabolo was stuck in the front porch post and worked great. As fast as they are...if you can get a big knife up in time, they do the work for you, sucker decapitated hisself.

Anyway, we still have bbq and beer, but the scotch is gone.

Lots of grain available in the local silos. I'm hoping family members who used to brew their own remember how.

Good to see there are still some of us out there.. about two blocks from here is a abandoned train.. I've made my way there twice and with a hack saw I found I'm slowly making my way into the train cars.. so far...an assortment of liquor and random household stuff... toothpaste..soap..crap like that. There is the sound of metal on metal somewhere within the next building..it has me on edge. What weapons are you guys equipment with.. when you head out to scavenge...what do you guys have on you when you are on the move?.. the war train is unstoppable but it's heavy..I've been using my Fat Ash..an my glock.

Barely hanging on out here in North central MA. Or what's left of it, anyway. Glad I'm away from anywhere populous like Boston or Worcester, but unfortunately that means that supplies are running low. Not much to scavenge out here so I'm left with trying to live off the land, and the soil up here is a little too acidic from all the big Oak trees out here for much to grow, so things have been rough. Thankfully there's a bit of a boom in the turkey population right now, so I've been able to snag a few meals with my trusty bow, but I'm not sure how much longer I can keep sneaking around to recover my arrows. Here's hoping I get a supply drop from O2W soon, or I could be in real trouble. My modified AD isn't cutting it anymore against these b*stards. They're growing stronger and smarter by the day. I need something larger if I'm gonna keep on surviving out here.

Well, I'm in Alabama. Prepper heaven. Lots of farms, guns and ammo.

I'm usually carrying an AR, Springfield xd 9, and either the TG or ashbm.

Nothing beats the Right Arm of The Free World when it comes to reliability and versatility. It'll do just about anything that you need a rifle to do as well as you need it to be done.

I do my best to make sure I'm off the ground and dry if I'm out longer than it takes me to get home. Milsurp woobie and poncho work pretty well for that. .
Don't forget to take small bounds and be spread out when engaging the front.

Patrol in a diamond formation so that 3/4 of your firepower is available without worrying about the cone of destruction..... Keep your pals out of it. Keep the horde in it.

Checking in from the other hemisphere.... we down here are jolly annoyed by all the apocalyptic goings on... I could not believe the Jones family across the street were so rude last night. Buy now we have all learned to manage a a family member when they turn without all that screaming...!! And one of those foaming at the mouth unpleasant types interrupted my evening BBQ, I was forced to blood my food service ASH1 on the blighter. Alas...we burn meat on steel, drink beer and carry one....

That's a big plus one on the right arm. That's what at least two of us carry when we are in a group. Good "heavy" hitter.

Well it's off to be for we folks getting off from night shift. Y'all keep the hordes at bay on day shift, we're counting on you!

Reign here from Central Maryland. We believed things to have calmed down after a couple weeks. Most folks who were barricaded in died of dehydration, lack of medication, and of course the crazy zombie-like people running amok.

My wife, son and I made it to the base nearby a couple weeks after the outbreak. The base wasn't really the base anymore. They had been affected as much as outside their gates. The small force that was left had shrunk their safe perimeter to just a few buildings and had already laid down some fencing, razor wire, and were working on jersey barriers on the inside of the fencing to keep it held up. It took a lot of convincing and compromising, but they let us in. We had been there for about a year and 3 months before it fell apart.

For the last 3 months, we've been working our way west to my In-laws farm in Illinois. I have 2 home built AR pistols, a Colt 1911, and my Swamp Rat Ratweiler at my side.

The infected are dangerous, but can be dealt with. The real threat now are the survivors. Those who survived by betrayal, murder, and any other dastardly acts. We've run into a few small groups. Been lucky to either get away, or be better shots than they were.

We've picked up a few people along the way. There are 6 of us now. 3 men, 2 women, and my 4 year old son.

Its been tough. None of us are the same as we once were. I guess when the world changes, you change with it.

Last big scare we had was a week ago. My snoring must have brought them in. Luckily, Brian was alert on watch and got everyone up and armed before the infected were on us. Only 4 of them, but man...are they getting faster?

I'm glad to hear that some kind soul is somehow keeping the transatlantic transmission alive. Here in London the situation is rather bleak. Being in a densely populated city we have a lot of rogues that we have to neutralise. My colleagues and I have barricade our lab door with little to fend with. By the mercy of the man in the sky I had my SOB on my hip but I am already missing my TG. I am far fortunate than others however. Many of us have little but reinforced cricket bats to defend ourselves with. Speaking in terms of supply we are plentiful with water. Being in an entire building dedicated to science we have a de-ionised water reservoir at our disposal but food however is an entirely different issue. Tins of food has become currency, this radio privilege alone has cost us 4 cans of baked beans and fruits. Its value is rising by the day with the number of infected rising proportionally, we fear that we may have crossed the Rubicon in terms of fighting our way out. Good luck to our friends across the globe.

Wow boost my morale hearing from so many survivors.. ever since things went dark information is hard to come by. This is the first confirmation I've heard that London has fallen as well.. we now live in the world where are the gates of hell have blown wide open. But we are the resistance..stay alive!! Early this morning I made my way out in search of food. About 2 miles out for my stronghold I came across a crashed army truck that had veered off the road. It took a lot of prying with my Ash but I finally got the back gate popped open. To my disappointment it appeared everything had been taken. Until I noticed that a crate with an army canvas draped over was being used as a seat and must have been overlooked. Inside I found a m14 rifle and ammo.. and about six cases of MRE food in one of the net compartments. I plan to investigate that metal banging noise in the adjacent building tonight..

Pykrim here coming from Iowa. Been doing lots of runs around my small town. Been doing good on supplies but still making runs for supplies to keep stocked up. My AK47 makes quick work of the Z's if that's what we call them. When they get in close my tglb finishes them off. Glad to leave my battle saw and swatmandu at home with the family to keep them protected. Local gun shops and department stores are over run, guess it wasn't that great of an idea to raid them first the Z's that were there made quick work of people. So going there is last ditch. Have plenty of meds though from the local pharmacy.

Be safe and aware.
Pykrim over an out!

I just got the yard mowed and I am about to jump in the pool and enjoy some cool beverages. Everything's fine in Florida, good luck. ;)
