Late sixties Case Trapper shield replacement?

I've recently acquired a 1965-69 Trapper 6254 from my late Father in Law. It has no wear but is missing the shield, is there a source for a replacement shield? It seems as though Case doesn't have replacements for that vintage (from the research I've done). I will use it as is but would be nice to make it complete. Thank you.

make one from nickel silver, or brass, copper, micarta/G10, or from a sample of cabinet veneer?
(Sometimes cabinet shops give away a sample "book". I used to have one with 50 or 60 different woods.)

Yes, I'm keeping an eye out for a parts knife and have been mulling over making one as well. I also wondered if there might be a member that made any or had any on hand. I really like the knife, but then again I think I like mst all vintage knives

Yes, a picture is super helpful. Some of us may have parts knives and possibly have a period shield.

I would like to see the tang stamps on both blades. Clear pic.
Handle looks like an 80s. That brown mottled bone looks 80s??
Late 70s pined shields were discontinued.
Are there dots below the USA??

Pretty sure that’s not late 60’s. Looks like the shield was glued.

70-79 has both.

Whaat am I missing here John, my knife has no dots under the tang stamp and looks very much like the 65-69 example. If the glued. on shield is more of an indicator I understand that.
