I think I may have figured out photobucket and windows 8. Anyway here are some shots of my entry for the spring contest. I didn't get to finish it all but got some fun pics along the way. I also learned that these skills fade pretty fast if you don't keep up with them.
My first attempt at fire was with the Dave Canterbury (spelling?) special. (ah la bag'o piss)

Needless to say had some cleaning to do before round two.
This time double bagged!

Try as I might I just couldn't get it to focus correctly.

Next was a ferro rod and that took right away no problems.
My next attempt was the Beckerhead version of a RG contraption.
Being exceedingly careful not to spill my Bourbon, I used my cigar to burn the string holding up the T-Rex.

Which caused the T-Rex to hit the ground signaling the little guy to wave the red flag.

Which signaled my wife to use a lighter to start the fire.

Easy enough.
After that I figured I would try a magnifying glass since the piss didn't work.

A lot of smoke but no flame. I tried adding dryer lint....nope, fatwood.......nope, white thin paper.....nope!

At this point (no pun intended) I was pissed and said OK! I got your f-ing fire RIGHT HERE!!
Took some of Aldo's steel to the grinder with my tinder bundle under it and whalah! Fire!

So the take away from all this is: Don't let your skills slip, always double bag it, and batteries, bench grinders, and lighters trump piss any day of the week.
As a disclaimer, no dinosaurs were hurt during this contest.
