I received today a Kopa I purchased second hand.

This is a great knife, not too big, not too small, easy to open, fits well in the hand, looks great, fits in watch pocket.

I'm very impressed, thank you Sal and Spyderco!

I got to handle one today at a knife store and WOW indeed! The quality is superb and it felt great in the hand.

Looks like a great knife, I'm just not a fan of the heavy metal-handled knives, or I'd have one now. If they made one with CF or G-10 handles, I'd buy 10 of 'em.

I changed my mind, Dave. Send me my Kopa back!

Just kidding. :) Yes, the Kopa is a very nice knife - almost too nice. Pretty, sharp, handy. I don't care if I bang up a fixed blade field knife or utility folder, but scratches and dings on "nice" folders and fixed blades drive me crazy. That's why I'm back to carrrying SAKs as utility folders. However, I do need a nice folder for "special occasions" and I prefer lockbacks and slipjoints for that kind of duty, so I can see myself picking up a Kopa with one of the synthetic handle slabs in the future.

Hah! too late!

If I don't win the passaround, I'll probably have to buy one.

Yes, the Kopa is hefty for it's size. I like the steel and babinga wood but I think it could be slimmed down a bit without taking away from the overall quality and feel of the knife.
