I found this forum earlier today, and decided to sign up. As I was signing up I found that I had join over four years ago. DUH!
Well, I guess since this my first post a little about myself. I'm 51 years young, married still to my first and only wife. Current I'm a Peace Officer in Alabama. Policeman is fine too. I don't like the term LEO. It makes me think of guy with high and tights, wearing Oakley and acting like Robo Cop.
I guess I got my first knife at about age 8. It was a cheapo camping knife that would not hold an edge. The first top of the line knife that I bought was a Buck 110 back in 1980. I put one of the "flick it" gizmos on it. The Flick It was a spring steel piece that fit on the top of the blade, so that you could ooen a Buck 110 one handed. This was 1981 long before thumb holes and studs on knives. I carried that knife for years, until 1994 when it was stolen in a burglary. I still carry a big knife for EDC. Currently I'm carrying a ZT 0350. But I still miss a good old buck.
